By placing an order, making a payment, or entering into a service agreement with Madison Ghostwriting, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
Our Commitment to Client Satisfaction
Madison Ghostwriting works closely with every client to ensure project goals, expectations, and requirements are met. Because many of our services involve custom creative work, intellectual property development, and dedicated professional time, refunds are subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.
Whenever possible, we aim to resolve concerns through revisions, project adjustments, additional support, or alternative solutions before considering a refund request.
Eligibility for Refunds
Refund requests may be considered under the following circumstances:
1. Project Cancellation Before Work Begins
Clients may request a full refund if:
No work has been started on the project.
No resources have been assigned.
No research, writing, design, editing, or production work has commenced.
Once work has begun, the project becomes subject to partial refund eligibility based on the amount of work completed.
2. Cancellation Shortly After Purchase
If a client changes their mind after placing an order, a refund request may be submitted within one (1) hour of payment.
Provided that work has not substantially commenced:
A full refund may be issued.
Administrative and payment processing fees may be deducted where applicable.
Refund requests submitted after this period may be subject to review and partial refund eligibility only.
3. Failure to Deliver Services
A refund may be considered if Madison Ghostwriting fails to deliver the purchased service within the agreed timeframe and:
The delay is solely attributable to Madison Ghostwriting.
The client has provided all required materials.
The client has responded to communications in a timely manner.
Reasonable attempts to resolve the issue have been unsuccessful.
Before any refund is approved, both parties will be given the opportunity to resolve the matter through revised timelines or alternative project arrangements.
4. Significant Service Deficiency
If the delivered work materially differs from the documented project requirements, Madison Ghostwriting will first offer:
Revisions
Corrections
Reassignment of project personnel
Additional support
If these remedies fail to resolve the issue, a partial or full refund may be considered at the sole discretion of management.
Revision Before Refund Policy
Client satisfaction is extremely important to us.
Before any refund request is approved, clients agree to allow Madison Ghostwriting reasonable opportunities to correct concerns through:
Content revisions
Design revisions
Editing improvements
Additional consultations
Project reassignment where appropriate
Refund requests submitted without first utilizing available revision opportunities may be denied.

These services involve significant labor, expertise, and time investment that cannot be recovered once work has begun.
Circumstances Where Refunds Will Not Be Issued
Refunds will not be granted under the following circumstances:
Client Delays
If project delays occur because the client failed to provide:
Manuscripts
Required documentation
Feedback
Approvals
Necessary information
Madison Ghostwriting shall not be held responsible for resulting delays.
Change of Mind
Refund requests based solely on:
Personal preference changes
Budget considerations
Change in publishing plans
Change in business goals
are not eligible after work has commenced.
Subjective Opinions
Refunds will not be issued because:
The client dislikes a particular writing style.
The client expected a different creative direction not included in the original brief.
Personal taste differs from delivered work.
Third-Party Decisions
Madison Ghostwriting cannot guarantee outcomes involving third-party platforms.
Refunds will not be granted due to:
Amazon KDP decisions
Publishing platform rejections
Audible approvals
Book sales performance
Advertising performance
Marketing results
Reader reviews
Bestseller rankings
Completed and Approved Work
Once a client has:
Approved deliverables,
Accepted final files,
Signed project completion documents,
Requested project closure,
refund eligibility is forfeited except where required by law.
Partial Refunds
In certain situations, Madison Ghostwriting may approve a partial refund based on:
Percentage of project completed
Resources allocated
Time invested
Services already delivered
Partial refunds are determined on a case-by-case basis and remain solely at the discretion of Madison Ghostwriting.
Project Abandonment Policy
A project shall be considered abandoned if there is no written communication from the client for forty-five (45) consecutive days.
Examples include:
Failure to respond to emails
Failure to provide approvals
Failure to submit required materials
Failure to attend scheduled meetings
Abandoned projects may be archived and closed.
Reactivation fees may apply if work is requested after project closure.
Closed Projects
A project shall be considered closed when:
Final deliverables have been delivered and approved; or
No communication has been received from the client for forty-five (45) days.
Once a project is closed:
Refund eligibility expires.
Additional revisions may incur fees.
New work may require a separate agreement.
Chargeback Policy
Clients agree to contact Madison Ghostwriting before initiating any chargeback, payment dispute, or claim through their financial institution.
If a chargeback is filed without first attempting resolution through our support team, Madison Ghostwriting reserves the right to:
Suspend services
Terminate agreements
Provide project records and communications to payment processors
Pursue recovery of delivered services where legally permitted
Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds are generally processed within:
7–14 business days
Processing times may vary depending on:
Payment provider
Banking institution
Credit card company
Geographic location
Madison Ghostwriting is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.
Limitation of Liability
The maximum liability of Madison Ghostwriting under any refund claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.

Business interruption
